Expo 2017, Astana
Expo 2017 Astana is in the heart of Kazakhstan. On November 22, 2012, Astana has been chosen as the venue for EXPO-2017, which focuses on the theme "Future Energy".
The topic aims to focus on the future of energy, but also on innovative, practical energy solutions, and their global impact.
More than 100 countries and 10 international organizations participated.
25 hectares are planned for the pavilions of Expo 2017.
14,000 tons of steel were used that came with advanced engineering and technology in design, production and raise. Astana City Expo 2017 was mainly divided into two phases. These include 97 exhibitions and cultural pavilions and a residential development. Furthermore, service areas include shopping, socio-cultural, educational and civic facilities, parks and parking spaces. Phase 1, or "Exhibition Mode" involves the construction of exhibition buildings. These include Kazakhstan Central Pavilion, theme, corporate and international pavilions, as well as hotel, retail, art and performance areas. The entire glazing of the facade is made of glass and curved in two axes.
